Description

Role Overview

The Buying & Merchandising department is responsible for making sure the correct stock is purchased and allocated to the appropriate stores to achieve sales, profit, margin and stock targets. It is a fast paced environment and one where you need to be flexible to react to the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will provide accurate, timely production and analysis of essential management information to support business decision making across the Buying & Merchandising team. Working closely with the Merchandising teams to provide information to review performance across sales, margin and stock.

Responsibilties

  • Key support for Buying & Merchandising teams ensuring timely, accurate and insightful analysis to provide more informed trading decisions and support key projects/initiatives
  • Production, development and automation of daily & weekly KPI reports
  • KPI and MI reporting, providing analysis and insight for decision support
  • Continual improvement - ensure reports are maintained, relevant, timely, and in line with latest business developments, providing insight & decision support
  • Analyse internal sales, stock and margin data and provide early identification of issues/opportunities based on performance trends to enable scenario based action plans
  • Management of the Buying & Merchandising reporting suite
  • Assist in the management and organisation of promotional activity running across the business
  • Working with other areas of the business to ensure data accuracy is maintained across the company
  • Administration of the sales, stock and intake planning tool
  • Administration of the site stock enquiry application
  • To have a global awareness of the business and where areas of remit fit within it
