Can I apply for more than one position/vacancy?
Yes, you can apply for as many as you want. However we do recommend that you apply for a vacancy which you really want and also one which you feel you are able to commute to easily.
How long will it take for someone to contact me?
We aim to contact you as quickly as possible, normally within seven days.
How long does the recruitment process take?
It will depend on the role you are applying for. As a general rule for a Sales Consultant vacancy around two weeks.
Why is my local store not showing any vacancies?
Only stores with vacancies are shown on the website, however you are able to submit your application via the website or at your local store so that when a vacancy arises, your application will be ready and waiting.
If I am not successful can I apply again?
Yes, you can apply as many times as you want. However, we will contact you on your first application should you meet our requirements and are suitable for our business.
Does Aurum promote from within?
Yes, in fact we encourage people to progress from within. There is no limit as to how soon, how fast or even how far you are able to progress.
How old do you need to be to work for Aurum Holdings?
As per legislation, you must be of school leaving age – 16 or over.
What if I don't have access to a computer or my own email account?
Your local community will have many places where you will be able to use a computer for free such as a Library or Jobcentre Plus. Internet cafés charge a small fee. Advisors at these places will normally be able to advise you and help you set up an email account. You are also able to drop in your CV at your local store or post your CV to: HR Department, Aurum Holdings Ltd, Aurum House, 2 Elland Road, Leicester LE3 1TT.
How do I apply for a vacancy at Aurum Holdings?
Once you have seen a vacancy you are interested in, the website will prompt you as to how to sign on and register. Once registered, you will be asked to complete an online application form and will also be able to attach your covering letter and CV.
What are the pay rates at Aurum Holdings?
Our pay rates are very competitive and our minimum wage is actually more than the statutory minimum wage.
Is my online application secure?
Yes, all information is treated as strictly confidential. As you sign on using your own email address and personal password known only to you. We will contact you using the email address you disclose to us, should we need to.
What if I forget my password?
If you go back onto the website, there is a link on the login page which will help you.
How often do I get paid?
Every month on the 27th of each month.
What type of hours / shift will I be working?
If you are store based, you will be required to work on a Rota basis in operation within the stores. You will be given enough notice of the hours and days you will be working and the rota is normally completed by the branch manager and will be in line with business requirements. If you are office based, normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm – however, these may vary according to the site you are working at.
